I think people on the east coast are more uptight about social politics/etiquette than people on the west coast.
I know this is a statement that really requires backup or at least further explanation, but I ANSWER TO NO ONE.
So too bad I guess.
(or to be fair, maybe I should just say, people at Berkeley seemed less uptight about it than people here sometimes are)
